The Equine Science Society (ESS) recently wrapped up it 2021 Virtual Symposium, held June 1-4. Nearly 400 individuals from 18 countries attended the symposium, which included 157 scientific abstracts focused on horse nutrition, reproductive physiology, biosciences, production and management, exercise science, teaching and extension, and genetics. Two keynote presentations discussed animal- and equine-assisted interactions and equine genomics. In addition, a workshop was held dedicated to overcoming the impact COVID-19 had on the equine scientific community. Both invited speaker presentations, the workshop main section, all scientific presentations, and the live Q&A sessions were recorded and are available for registered attendees to view until Sept. 3, 2021. The Virtual Symposium recordings represent a unique opportunity for individuals interested in learning about equine science and the ESS. Interested individuals can register for and view the 2021 ESS Virtual Symposium until Aug. 2, 2021.
