An Icelandic gelding in Estrie, Quebec, contracted Halicephalobus gingivalis and is now deceased.

On February 5, an Icelandic gelding in Estrie, Quebec, was determined to be positive for Halicephalobus gingivalis based on histopathology. The horse was imported from Iceland over the summer. He is now deceased.
