The 1st connected Alert System designed for the rider and their horse

February 6 , 2016 — Sporting passion, riding is also one of the most dangerous sports activities in the USA with nearly 70,000 accidents of all nature are registered every year. Those accidents are almost evenly spread according to age group and 66% concern women. Equestrian counts by itself 45% of head injuries all sports added in the USA, with approximately 6,000 cases. The prevention of riding accidents in the US consists in the recommendation of wearing a helmet and the fast intervention of the emergency services.

IMInnov, a French start-up based near Carcassonne, launches EquiSure™: the first alert system designed for the rider and his horse, which measure the severity of a fall from the moment of the accident for a faster and more adapted intervention of the emergency services.

Did you know? 70,000 people are treated in emergency rooms because of equestrian related injuries accounting for an estimated 2,300 admissions annually. Head injuries account for 18% of emergency room injuries, and more than a 1/3rd of the accidents can immobilise the rider where the accident took place
