Two adults and three juveniles face multiple felony charges in connection with the theft of six horses from a livestock market in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.

Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain, DVM, said Livestock Brand Commission investigators said that, over the course of several nights, six horses were removed from the market after a fence of a barn where the horses were held was cut.

Authorities subsequently arrested 18-year-old Desment D. Green and 17-year-old Keyondra Cain in connection with the thefts, along with three juveniles. One of the juveniles remanded in custody as a result of other charges pending against him, while the other two have been either released to their parents or freed on bond. All were charged with multiple counts of felony theft of livestock.

Five of the horses have been recovered and returned to their owner. The sixth has not yet been recovered
