My Horse is Worth Protecting Contest Winner: 'Gucci'

Congratulations to Robin Doniger, whose photo and story were one of our winners of the "Say Neigh to Sunburn" contest! "This is my horse Gucci. He is a blind appaloosa that I adopted from Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation (ERAF), in Palm City, Florida. After his summer full body clip, I need to be careful to protect him from sunburn. Gucci is called the miracle horse at ERAF as he had to recover from a traumatic leg injury and then the loss of both eyes. He is now my happy goofy boy who loves to go riding in spite of his blindness. With everything Gucci has been through, he should not have to deal with damage from the sun. He would love to win the EquiShield products to protect him," said Doniger.  | Photo: Robin Doniger

My Horse is Worth Protecting Contest Winner: 'Pocohontas'

Congratulations to Stacy Dietrich, another winner of the "Say Neigh to Sunburn" contest! "This is my 24-year-old mare from last summer. She did get sunburned and lost all her hair and skin on all her white areas. We live in sunny New Mexico, so this summer I have to keep her inside and covered, then out and uncovered in the evening after the sun goes down," Dietrich said.  | Photo: Stacy Dietrich

"R Pride and Passion"

"R Pride and Passion (Jesse) knows about sunburns! Mom tried a lot of tricks but he ends up in the barn under fans during the heat of summer."  | Photo: Deb Hensley

"Our seniors love Kinetic Vet products!! We use the Equishield CK salve and CK spray regularly to treat occasional scratches, cannon bone crud or dew rot. The Kinetic Vet products are amazing! They work fast with excellent results! Our pink nosed ponies would love to try more products especially the Equishield SB to see how well it stays on compared to our regular sunscreen regimen."  | Photo: Past-ure Prime Returement

"Zoey"

"We love Kinetic Vet Equisheild SB! Zoey is super prone to sunburn."  | Photo: Lyndsey Cruise

"Sophie"

"Miss Sophie, 4 years old. Our sweetest deaf gal, growing up so big."  | Photo: Charlotte Weir

"Sinatra"

"Sinatra would love to try these amazing products. His lil white nose gets so burnt and blisters in the summer and I have tried just about everything aside from keeping him in. (He hates being in when everyone else is out.)"  | Photo: Megan Harrington

"Misu"

"Misu, a 19-year-old Dutch Warmblood. This is our first summer with chrome. This is her reaction, yesterday, to us putting sunscreen on her face and above her left eye. She has sunburn above her eye and on her muzzle and lips. She would benefit greatly from this contest."  | Photo: Heather McTigue

"Sheba"

"My girl, Sheba either has to wear along nose fly mask and or sunblock daily to protect her lovely pink nose from the sun. She has such a fine coat, and little hair on her nose come summertime! We would love to win the prize pack from Kinetic Vet!"  | Photo: Instagram User @imafilly

"Skip"

"Skip would very much benefit from EquiShield SB prize pack because he has a very pink nose that's very prone to sunburn. He's a friendly and sweet horse and I want to prevent any pain that a sunburn would cause this wonderful horse."  | Photo: Emily Andrea

"Roxie"

"This is Roxie, my 20 year old mare. She was diagnosed with sun photosensitivity via biopsy at MSU. It gets so bad she gets open sores on her lower legs. She also has severe allergies and benefits from Equishield SA that was prescribed by her DVM. She is a fantastic rescue horse and deserves to live the rest of her life in comfort."  | Photo: Katie "Bennett"-Laundra

"Nala"

"This is our sweet pony Nala, who gets sunscreen applied everyday as we live in Florida! Even with her fly mask she burns."  | Photo: Natalie Eisenhut

"Foxy"

"Foxy is already a fan of Kinetic’s products. With 3 chromed out paint horses and a pinto mini horse, we go through the products."  | Photo: Amber Hershey Lindgren
