Morris Animal Foundation (MAF) has launched a new interactive Web site devoted to animal health and welfare and the essential role played by scientific research focused on protecting, treating, and curing animals–including wildlife and companion animals worldwide.

The new Web site can be accessed at

Some features of the site include:

  • Latest News on MAF Scientific Health Research Benefiting Animals.
  • Animal Health Research Successes by Species and Disease or Health Issue: Search capabilities include identifying animal health research successes by species and disease or health issue. For example, someone could search for cancer in dogs, laminitis in horses, or kidney disease in cats, and they could find these successful studies.
  • Interactive Community Section for Animal Lovers, Friends and MAF Donors: Includes video, photo, and personal chat/blogging capabilities allowing animal lovers to communicate and share fun, interesting information about pets and wildlife. MAF online community leaders will help bring animal lovers together for local meetings and events.
  • Live Webcasts/Reports of Special Animal Events and Programs Worldwide. Examples: Following scientists helping save the last 700 mountain gorillas on earth; at-sea reports from investigators studying sea lions and sea turtles. By the wonders of the Web, MAF will inject animal lovers into the scientific health study process more personally and powerfully than ever before.
  • Meet The Scientists: Includes video, photos, and professional profiles.
  • Multiple Easy Options to Directly Contribute to Animal Health.
