Law enforcement authorities in Georgia are seeking those responsible for the theft of two horses taken from their pasture in Madison County.

The owner reported the horses missing on Aug. 29, said Doug Martin, Madison County Sheriff's Department investigator. “The owner knew something wasn't right when the horses didn't show up for their feeding,” Martin said.

Further investigation revealed that someone had taken the horses from their pasture, Martin said.

The horses, both mares, include a black 7-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse and an 11-year-old black-and-white Spotted Saddle Horse
