The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the deaths of six wild horses.

Earlier this month, agency helicopter pilots discovered the animals' carcasses in a remote area along the Nevada-California border during a scheduled round-up of animals from the Buckhorn Horse Management Area. All the horses had sustained gunshot wounds, according to agency spokesman John Dearing.

Anyone with information about the incidents should call BLM Special Agent William Taylor at 503/601-6689. All calls are confidential.
