Equine infectious respiratory disease and equine asthma syndrome research projects receive $75,000 in funding

DULUTH, Ga. (February 26, 2020) – Boehringer Ingelheim announced the recipients of the 2019 Advancement in Equine Research Awards at the recent American Association of Equine Practitioners Annual Convention in Denver. Five proposals focusing on equine infectious respiratory disease and equine asthma syndrome were selected. Recipients include the following:

Efficacy of disinfection of endoscopes contaminated with Streptococcus equi subsp. equi
Laurie Beard, DVM, MS, DACVIM
Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS

Nebulized glycosylated-caffeic acid phenylether ester attenuation of particulates-induced airway inflammation in horses
Jessica Rutledge, BVetMed MRCVS
Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK
