Few animals possess as long a history with humans as horses. From work to war and play to performance, these animals have claimed the hearts of many individuals around the globe. Alltech wishes to attract these equine enthusiasts to its 27th International Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium to gain more knowledge regarding the horse industry in addition to the various other animal industries that will be represented at the event. The Symposium, entitled The Game Changers: Creative Concepts for Agribusiness to Respond to Relentless Commoditization and to Innovate for a Greener Future will be held at the Lexington Convention Center in Lexington, Ky., May 22-25.

"With the recent retraction of the global economy, it is now more important than ever to increase the productivity and longevity of our equine companions, whether they are for sport or pleasure," said Steve Elliott, global director of Alltech’s equine division. "This, along with continued animal welfare and environmental concerns, has created necessary and exciting opportunities for the equine industry to look at technologies and management techniques that can benefit the animal, the consumer, and the environment. These topics will all be addressed at our 27th annual symposium."

Symposium attendees will hear from and interact with equine industry experts during the following informational seminars:
