According to an Associated Press article on bloodhorse.com, two horses died in an accident at Les Bois Park racetrack in Boise, Idaho. One jockey remained hospitalized.
The lead horse, Rawston, went down with a possible broken leg as the field was heading for the first turn. The AP reports the horse died when it hit the track. Another horse, Regal Dr. Stuart, also went down in the accident; a state veterinary official euthanatized the horse.
Jockey Reino Taveras, who was riding Regal Dr. Stuart, remained in the hospital in stable condition on Sunday (July 9), said the report
