London Olympics 2012: Bob Ellis Named Jumping Course Designer
Bob Ellis (GBR) has been appointed as the Jumping course designer for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The appointment of the British designer, who produced the courses for last year’s Alltech FEI European Jumping Championships, was announced by London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG).

16 Countries Sending Teams to Compete for AQHYA World Cup
The American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup, an international leadership event that includes educational horsemanship clinics and a friendly Olympic-style competition, is hosting youth from 16 countries July 3-11 in Oklahoma City.
Each of the 16 teams consist of five competing American Quarter Horse Youth Association members. Additionally, teams can bring leadership participants.

Lyme Disease in Horses: Facts and Fallacies
Lyme disease is caused by a spiral-shaped bacterium called Borrelia burgdorferi that is spread to some mammals via the bite of specific hard-bodied ticks. Also known as borreliosis, it is widely considered the most important insect-borne bacterial infection in North America. But it is unknown whether ticks transmit the bacterium to horses and cause disease or because the two coexist.
WEG Horse Feed Plan Emphasizes Consistency
With approximately 700 horses from dozens of countries anticipated for the upcoming Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG), feed management represents a vital part of the plan to ensure these elite athletes maintain optimal health and welfare throughout the competition. An elaborate plan is in place to make sure there’s as little disruption to their normal feeding program as possible.
