  1. My Quarter Horse Gelding came from a bloodline known for HYPP , I was pretty sure he was positive but I tested him anyway to be absolutely sure. He tested out with N/H positive. I also had him DNA tested at Davis California.
Unfortunately he was put down in April of 2020 with sidebone (he could walk, but you could see it was extremely painful for him). He was only twenty years old.

  2. My miniature mare and stud produced a dwarf. I had the dwarf tested to see which gene was the cause and if only one gene, i would have to test both the mare and the stud to find the carrier. Found out the dwarf carried two genes, which means that both the mare and the stud were carriers. Their next foal was also a dwarf, but I lucied out with the third, although he is a carrier. I’m going to have him gelded to help control the number of carriers in the miniature population.

  3. My horse was tested for PSSM (results were negative) when trying to diagnose intermittent lameness issues that turned out to be Lyme Disease.
