Two febrile horses from the local event venue have been confirmed with EHV-1.
One horse was confirmed with EHV-1 and one with EHM.
Since Jan. 24, three horses have been confirmed with EHM and 23 with fever only (EHV-1).
California officials continue to monitor the outbreak on-site at the index premises.
Cases now total 23, including two with EHM.
Horses at multiple farms have shown signs consistent with botulism.
Both the mare and Alameda County racetrack are now clear of equine herpesvirus quarantines.
One horse has been euthanized due to the severity of its signs.
The affected horse resides in Alameda County along with 21 stablemates.
Two horses have now experienced neurologic signs, with 17 experiencing fever only.
