Back pain in horses is more common than many horse owners think. Some equine back issues come on suddenly (i.e. those from traumatic injury), while many are insidious, developing so gradually that owners easily miss the discomfort at first. Back pain in horses is more common than we might think, and although it can take a while to resolve, there are many ways you can support your animal during the recovery process.

To help horse owners better understand equine back pain, NexHA has partnered with TheHorse.com for Equine Back Pain Awareness Week, starting May 13, 2024.

Look for equine back pain content all week on TheHorse.com, our Facebook page, and in our e-newsletters.
