The first Olivia M. Saylor Internship has been established to allow a college student the opportunity to gain hands on experience rehabbing, retraining, and rehoming retired racehorses at New Vocations. The internship was established to honor the daughter of prominent horse owner, Paul Saylor. Olivia M. Saylor passed away in January.

"We are grateful for Paul’s ongoing support of our efforts," said Program Director Anna Ford. "It provides a wonderful learning experience for the student and also gives us another skilled hand."

The Olivia M. Saylor Internship will take place at the New Vocations Lexington, Ky., facility this summer. University of Kentucky student Morgan Whitney has been chosen for the internship, which will last through the summer. Intern responsibilities include participating in the rehab, retraining, and marketing of the adoption horses, as well as promotion of New Vocations efforts in the Lexington area.
