The Darley Stud of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum has purchased the breeding rights to Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner Street Sense, according to Daily Racing Form.


The publication said trainer Carl Nafzger and owner Jim Tafel both confirmed the deal on June 2, but would not disclose any details, including the sale price.


The trainer said the colt, last year’s 2-year-old Eclipse-winning male, will continue to run in Tafel’s name through the Oct. 27 Breeders’ Cup Classic–Presented by Dodge (gr. I) and that Nafzger will continue to train him.
