Following The Race For Education, the first race at Churchill Downs on Oaks Day (May 5), another winner was presented: Kristen Geary of Benson, Ariz., was officially awarded the Ashado Scholarship by Jack and Laurie Wolf of Starlight Stables and Paul Saylor, who with Johns Martin established the four-year scholarship for a female college student studying equine-related subjects.
