SANTA BARBARA, CA – April, 2010 – After a year of product refinement, internal testing, and a national product trial, Zephyr’s Garden’s new Stop the Itch Spray is now available to the public. The tests results concluded that horses and dogs around the country received significant relief of their nagging itches with this all-natural herbal based spray. From tail rubbing to insect bites, hives, sweet itch, and seasonal “hot spots,” the Stop The Itch Spray put out the flame of intense itching, healed the skin, and regrew the hair.
 
Created with seven herbal tinctures, Aloe Vera juice, and essential oils, the spray is rich in natural itch reduction and healing ingredients.  Zephyr’s Garden Stop The Itch Spray is a powerful alternative to chemical based over-the-counter itch relief products.  As one member of the test trial stated, “In the past my vet has had Mollie on steroids or a Benadryl regiment to calm the skin irritation and prevent infection. For Tail & Mane Rubbing
Testers found that when used on a consistent basis, the spray eliminated tail rubbing.  “Her tail looked like a 20 year old toothbrush at the base and had a large bald spot as well.  I applied the spray generously for two days, the itching definitely stopped and her tail looked much better the next day.  I continued on the bald spot and within a week, hair was growing again!”  Another tester reported, “Every summer my horse rubs his mane out.  This time I used your spray when it started and it stopped almost overnight.  Being a seasonal problem, I used the spray every few days and we made it through the summer with a full mane.”  In addition to being effective, the spray dries clear and leaves no residue.

Sweet Itch & Insect Bites
When used as a stand-alone product, the Stop The Itch Spray works well on bug bites, hives, and seasonal itches.  Being a liquid, it was easy to apply to ears, around the face, and in hard to reach areas such as the belly and between the legs.  For tough cases of Sweet Itch, the product was very effective when used in conjunction with Zephyr’s Garden Stop The Itch Salve.  Testers also reported that the spray helped hives subside, healed and immediately reduced the irritation of gnat bitten ears, and quickly stopped “unknown itches” on the forelock, chest, face, and mane.
 
Canine Hot Spots
Although dogs were not a part of the test protocol, several testers took the liberty of using the product on their pups.  Many had been using the Stop The Itch Salve for “hot spots” and were happy to have access to an oil-free product of similar formulation.  Two reported that the Stop The Itch Spray quickly ended bouts of spring/summer dermatitis and one reported it stopped her dog from chewing his paws.  All were very pleased that it left no residue or stain, and was oil-free since the dogs also resided in their homes
