NEW LOOP HOOF KNIFE DELIVERS PRECISION CUTTING WHILE REDUCING STRESS ON HANDS AND WRISTS
SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass., January 19, 2012 – A new loop knife designed to reduce the stress, wear and tear on the wrists and fingers of farriers while effectively trimming the frog and soles of hoofs has been introduced by Hyde Industrial Blade Solutions (IBS). The Hyde Loop Hoof Knife is ergonomically engineered for use by both left- and right-handed farriers and complements Hyde’s line of Pro-Grip¨ Hoof Knives.
Precision manufactured by hand knife experts, the Hyde Loop Hoof Blade utilizes a .515″ diameter and 1.3″ long, CNC-machine ground, high-carbon steel cutting edge which is sharpened on the inside and mounted to a HammerHead¨ molded handle. The handle is designed with a durable polypropylene core and thermoplastic elastomer soft grip covering to absorb the shock from scraping and gouging of hoofs. The Hyde Loop Hoof Knife measures 6.5″ in overall length.
All blades on the Hyde Loop Hoof Knife are heat-treated and are manufactured in facilities in the U.S.A. with ISO 9001:2008 plant certification. They feature a black oxide coating to provide increased resistance to rust and extend blade life while further increasing the knives ability to remove material quickly and cleanly
