Animal Transportation Association Coverage, Day 1

This week, I’m reporting from the Animal Transportation Association’s 38th Annual International Conference, held at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.The conference takes place March 18-21, 2012.
This year’s theme is “A Global View on Animal Logistics.” The conference brings together professionals in air, sea, and ground transportation of animals of all shapes and sizesÑfrom exotics and zoologics to livestock, companion animals and horses. Our interest at this conference is all things equine, which technically includes the exotic equines (zebras, Prezwalski’s, wild asses), but we’ll concentrate on the domesticated equines for the purposes of this coverage
