Gulfstream Park announced Jan. 27 it lifted a quarantine at one barn at the Florida track and four others at its training facility at Palm Meadows.

"We took swift action to test the samples in the interest of the horses," said Gulfstream president and GM Steve Calabro. "We're glad the test came back negative and the quarantine was lifted."

Gulfstream officials said no other horses at Gulfstream, in Hallandale Beach, Fla., or at Palm Meadows, in Boynton Beach, Fla., are showing symptoms similar to those of the Sheppard horse
