Representatives from both the college and Cargill’s animal nutrition business were on hand to sign the agreement in a ceremony held June 20 at the CVM.
“This college is at the forefront of veterinary medical education, and to be able to support its continued excellence is a tremendous opportunity for us,” said John Windwehen, general manager for Cargill Animal Nutrition’s South Texas business. “We look forward to working together with the faculty and staff of the CVM to promote animal health.”
As a part of the Educational Alliance, Cargill will work with the CVM to develop nutrition education opportunities for veterinarians and clients. In addition, Cargill will provide student scholarships, achievement awards, and it will bring in leaders in the agri-business industry as guest speakers for continuing education and classroom programs
