Nominations are being sought for the 10th Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health Applied Equine Research Award. The award recognizes outstanding research conducted in a specific field of applied equine science over the past five years. The 2009 award will honor advances in equine infectious diseases.

The winner will be recognized during the 11th WEVA Congress in Guarujá-SP, Brazil, from the Sept. 24-27, with a plaque and a $6,000 (U.S.) award. He/she will also be invited to present an oral and written summary of their work to the Congress. Travel and accommodations to WEVA will be covered by the winner from their monetary award
