The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s Center for Veterinary Biologics is announcing its tenth annual public meeting to discuss regulatory and policy issues related to the manufacture, distribution, and use of veterinary biological products.

The meeting is open to all interested parties. APHIS is holding the meeting in the Scheman Building at the Iowa State Center in Ames, Iowa, on April 10 and 11, 2001, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

The Center for Veterinary Biologics is currently planning the meeting agenda and requesting suggestions for topics. Possible topics include presentations on labeling, duration of immunity/efficacy, delivery systems, risk assessment, target animal safety, animal care, and international harmonization.

Licensed producers of veterinary biological products, product users, and other interested parties are invited to present their ideas about the licensing, manufacturing, testing, and distribution of these products
