The National Park Service is welcoming a new Assateague Pony foal born last week.
The mare N9BM-J (known as “Giggles”) gave birth to a pinto colt early on Aug. 17,
The new foal, N9BM-JQ, and his band live most of the year in the very busy developed area and campgrounds. For this reason, the National Park Service is expressly reminding visitors that they must remain a minimum of a bus length (40 feet) away from the wild horses at all times
