The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has confirmed a case of equine West Nile virus (WNV) in an unvaccinated horse in Yadkin County, the Equine Disease Communication Center (EDCC) reported Oct. 8.

According to EDCC data, this is the second confirmed case of WNV in North Carolina horses in 2018.
