The Retired Racehorse Project’s (RRP) Off-Track Thoroughbred Magazine won “General Excellence Association Publication (circulation less than 15,000)” at the 2019 American Horse Publications’ (AHP) Equine Media Awards presentation, which took place June 1, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Horse Media Group publishes Off-Track Thoroughbred Magazine for RRP and helped launch the award-winning quarterly magazine in 2015. The Horse Media Group is best known for its flagship brand, The Horse: Your Guide to Equine Health Care.

The AHP association general excellence category is judged 40% effectiveness of editorial content, 35% design, and 25% meeting its mission statement.
