James P. Thompson, DVM, PhD, has been named executive associate dean of the University of Florida (UF) College of Veterinary Medicine.



Until his appointment, Thompson was the college’s associate dean of students and instruction for the past decade. He served as interim dean of the college from Feb. 20 to Oct. 1, when Glen Hoffsis, DVM, became the college’s permanent dean. Thompson’s new position is the second-highest-ranking position at the college
