Who among us hasn’t had a problem that frustrated us because we didn’t know where to turn for answers? Maybe it’s something complicated or technical and there isn’t anyone in our area who is an expert. Perhaps the question deals with something controversial, and we’re afraid of hurting someone’s feelings or making that person feel that we are looking beyond him or her for answers. It’s like that for every horse owner, and it’s like that for us in the information business. Our job is to find the best, brightest, and most experienced people in every aspect of horse health, care, and management, and transfer their knowledge to you. Without those people–experts who volunteer their valuable time because they care about horses–this publication would be nothing more than horse people talking to each other.
The Horse magazine has a long history of working hard to ensure that the information we provide to you is correct. It is due to the hard work of hundreds of veterinarians, researchers, teachers, horse owners, farriers, and other industry professionals that we are able to bring you cutting-edge information and discussions of problems old and new.
In 1995, when Blood-Horse Publications acquired this magazine, we developed an unofficial partnership with the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP)–the largest group of horse veterinarians in the world and the leading provider of equine veterinary continuing education in North America–to try and educate horse owners. Now, we’ve made it official. This month we announce that The Horse has become a formal Educational Partner with the AAEP
