Reward Offered in Arkansas Horse Shooting
The owners of Jarratt Stables, in Forrest City, reported finding one of their horses dead in a pasture on May 4.

Police is Forrest City, Arkansas, hope that a cash reward of more than $10,000 will help them identify those who shot and killed a horse in a pasture.
Deputy Jeff Nichols, of the Forrest City Police Department, said the owners of Jarratt Stables reported finding one of their horses dead in a pasture on May 4. The animal had been shot in the neck, Nichols said.
“The shot was at relatively close range,” Nichols said, “about 20 yards away.”
He declined further comment
