WEG: Free Shuttles for Spectators
Governor Steve Beshear today announced that visitors to the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games who pay to park on the Kentucky Horse Park grounds can catch a free shuttle that will take them directly to the front entry of the park. FEI Releases Updated Elective Testing List
In the final countdown to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, the FEI has published an updated version of the FEI Elective Testing List. Elective Testing allows Team Veterinarians to submit urine from FEI-registered competition horses to an FEI Reference Laboratory to test for up to four Prohibited Substances. EEE: Two Ohio Horses Dead, First Ohio Case in 19 Years
The Ohio Department of Agriculture confirmed cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) in two horses that died on a farm in Mercer County. This is the first incident of EEE in Ohio since an outbreak in 1991 in Wayne and Holmes counties. At this time, there are no known human illnesses associated with this confirmation.

A new honor instituted this year, the Rood & Riddle Thoroughbred Sport Horse of the Year Award was awarded to top eventing horse, Courageous Comet, owned by Tom and Becky Holder.
