  1. My most recent horse was a Christmas gift from my late husband nearly 20 years ago. The horse, a very personable bay Arabian gelding, is still with me.

  2. One was through my sister-in-law who is a breeder, the other was through my vet who recommended me to adopt her.when the previous adopter could no longer keep her.

  3. Our last horse was gifted to us this year by a dear friend who we were helping retire from training/lessons.
A 16 yr old ottb gelding horse who also has a background in patrol horse training. He was last shown at 3rd level dressage and some jumping. I cant wait for the weather here to start cooperating and my restrictions behind me from a surgery i had this year. Most of the horses ended up being donated to a rescue to ensure they all had soft landings.

  4. The three horses I have are OTTB’s from Finger Lakes Racetrack. I found these wonderful horses while I was a volunteer with Finger Lakes Finest Trainer Listings. Two needed new homes and one was a long time favorite of mine. Since all my TBs have been off the track they were a perfect fit!!

  5. I found my Haflinger Gelding in Eastern Ontario through a very knowledgeable horse friend.

  6. I wanted a Morgan, so only visited Morgan breeding farms. Found a great ride/drive 5 year old 40 mins from my home
