My most recent horse was a Christmas gift from my late husband nearly 20 years ago. The horse, a very personable bay Arabian gelding, is still with me.
One was through my sister-in-law who is a breeder, the other was through my vet who recommended me to adopt her.when the previous adopter could no longer keep her.
Our last horse was gifted to us this year by a dear friend who we were helping retire from training/lessons.
A 16 yr old ottb gelding horse who also has a background in patrol horse training. He was last shown at 3rd level dressage and some jumping. I cant wait for the weather here to start cooperating and my restrictions behind me from a surgery i had this year. Most of the horses ended up being donated to a rescue to ensure they all had soft landings.
The three horses I have are OTTB’s from Finger Lakes Racetrack. I found these wonderful horses while I was a volunteer with Finger Lakes Finest Trainer Listings. Two needed new homes and one was a long time favorite of mine. Since all my TBs have been off the track they were a perfect fit!!
