Fire personnel in Norwell, Massachusetts, rescued 15 horses after the roof of an equestrian center there collapsed.

Norwell Fire Department Captain Jeff Simpson said fire personnel responded to a call concerning a cave-in at an equestrian center on the morning of March 2. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the roof of the riding arena at the facility had collapsed, he said. Fifteen horses were inside the structure at the time of the incident, he said.

“The horses were all in their stalls around the arena when the center of the roof collapsed,” Simpson said. “We had to use heavy equipment to cut them out.”

None of the horses were injured, he said
