Arizona Men Charged in Horse Shooting
Two Arizona men are in custody after being charged with animal cruelty for allegedly shooting a horse multiple times.
Officer Christopher Hegstrom, media spokesman for the Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff’s Office, said deputies answered a call regarding a horse Rio Verde, Arizona, that had been shot four times. Hegstrom said the horse was shot on March 10 and survived overnight until he was discovered the following day. On March 11, a veterinarian euthanized the animal due to his condition, he said
Two male suspects were later questioned about the incident, and admitted to shooting the animal a number of times each, Hegstrom said. Dylan Gundry and Bryce Fleming were subsequently charged with the shooting, he said.
In addition to the horse shooting, Gundry and Fleming are also suspected of burglary and trafficking stolen property, Hegstrom said. Following their arrest, both men were booked into the Maricopa County jail
