Arizona Agency Seeks Horse Owner
Arizona agricultural authorities are seeking the owner of a horse apparently abandoned earlier this month in Maricopa County.
Arizona Department of Agriculture (ADA) spokeswoman Laura Oxley said the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office informed the department about a call regarding a horse lying in the road in Tonopah on May 1. Upon arrival, agricultural personnel found the horse injured and in need of food, she said.
“The ADA has possession of the horse and has it boarded, and a veterinarian has seen the horse,” Oxley said.
No one has yet been charged in the case
