Green Begins Term as AAVMC President

Eleanor Green, DVM, Dipl. ACVIM, Dipl. ABVP, the Carl B. King Dean of Veterinary Medicine at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, has begun her term as president of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC).
“It’s an honor for me to have this opportunity to lead the AAVMC and I’m very excited about it,” said Green “We’re fortunate to have so many talented and dedicated educators working in our member institutions and I look forward to working closely with them as we continue our efforts to create opportunity and progress in veterinary medicine.”
She assumed the presidency at the annual meeting of AAVMC in July in Boston. She was elected president-elect at the organization’s annual meeting last year.
Green earned her DVM from Auburn University and is a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). She has previously served as president of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians, and the ABVP
