With proper care and management, horses are living well into their 30’s and beyond. So how old is the eldest horse you own or care for?

We posed this question to our readers in last week’s poll. More than 1,900 people responded, and we’ve tallied the results!

Of the 1,943 respondents, 885 (46%) said the oldest horse they own or care for is 21 to 30 years old. Another 614 individuals (32%) said their oldest horse is in the 11 to 20 year age range, while 294 respondents (15%) said their oldest horse is more than 30 years old. The remaining 150 respondents’ (8%) eldest horse is 0 to 10 years old
