Parx Racing, in Bensalem, Pa., said Dec. 4 the second of three barns that had been quarantined due to equine herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1) was cleared by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Dec. 3.

Track officials said blood was drawn from 30 horses in the third barn Dec. 5, with test results expected Dec. 10. The horses in the first quarantined barn were permitted to train and be entered for races Nov. 30.

Two barns were quarantined in mid-November as a result of a positive test for EHV-1. The general quarantine period for EHV-1 is a minimum of 21 days.
