TOBA to Hold Pedigree and Conformation Clinic
The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will hold a Thoroughbred Pedigree and Conformation Clinic Oct. 7-8 in Lexington.
The clinic, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will feature conformation presentations—including one focusing on conformation from a veterinary perspective—and live evaluations, as well as pedigree discussions that will include nicking, dosage, outcrossing, and inbreeding.
Clinic speakers will include Leslie Janeka, Ian Tapp, Ned Toffey, Kitty Taylor, Anne Peters, Kellyn Gorder, and Susan Martin. The clinic will feature tours of Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Woodford Equine Hospital in Versailles, and a visit to a training barn at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington. The clinic, to begin at 8 a.m. at the Courtyard Marriott in Lexington, costs $250 for TOBA members and $300 for non-members. It includes all support materials, breakfast, and lunch
