Horses belonging to an equestrian facility in Harris County, Texas, are back in their home pastures after flooding displaced the animals last week.
Jeff Lindner, meteorologist for the Harris County Flood Control District, said that from July 11-13, heavy, persistent rainfall produced between 11 and 15 inches of rain in northwest Harris County. A spokesman for the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management said that horses were evacuated from the Cypress Rosehill Equestrian Center, in Cypress, to the Sam Houston Race Park in Houston.
