The Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Veterinary Medicine’s (SVM) Integrative Medicine Committee will welcome Ed Boldt, DVM, as part of the Crow Integrative Medicine Speaker Series on Aug. 17 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the auditorium at the LSU SVM.

Additionally, after his presentation "Complementary Veterinary Medicine: How Acupuncture and Chiropractics Can Work in an Equine Practice," there will be a demonstration and question and answer session with Boldt in the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital equine pavilion. The demonstration will begin at 2 p.m.

Boldt is an equine ambulatory practitioner who provides acupuncture and chiropractic services for equine clients in Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Prior to moving to Colorado, Boldt owned an ambulatory equine practice in the New Orleans area. He graduated in 1984 from the LSU SVM; he received his veterinary acupuncture certification from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) in 1993 and his veterinary chiropractic certification from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in 1996.

Boldt is the past executive director for IVAS, as well as a past lecturer and teaching associate for the IVAS basic acupuncture course. He has lectured for the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association, and American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture.
