Wanted Georgia Rescue Operator Apprehended

A former animal rescue operator wanted by Georgia law enforcement authorities is awaiting extradition in Buffalo, N.Y., after being denied entry into Canada on May 28.
Long County, Ga., law enforcement authorities began searching for Loonie Farms Animal Rescue operator Christiane Judd in May after discovering the remains of dozens of animals including equines, pigs, dogs, and cats on the rescue’s property.
Long County Sheriff’s Department Det. Lt. Tom Sollosi said Judd (also known as Christiane Babic) is wanted on multiple warrants including giving false statements, giving false information, and animal cruelty. More charges may be pending, Sollosi said.
On Saturday U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel encountered Judd when she presented herself for inspection at the Peace Bridge Port of Entry in Buffalo after being denied entry into Canada, said CBP chief officer and public affairs liaison Thomas J. Rusert
