Reward Offered in New York Horse Shooting

A New York woman hopes the offer of a cash reward will help lead law enforcement authorities to whoever is responsible for the shooting death of her horse.

Heather White said she was out of town on Oct. 9 when a neighbor phoned her to say one of her horses had been discovered dead in its roadside pasture. The 9-year-old black and white Paint mare had sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and died instantly, White said. Three other horses also grazing in the same pasture were unhurt, she said
