2012 ESMAs

Social media has proved itself to be a revolutionary communications tool, which has been embraced by the global equestrian community. Love of the horse transcends borders, seas, and language. Social media has allowed global equestrians to connect in ways never before seen.

The PagePlay Equestrian Social Media Awards (ESMAs) were founded in 2010 to bring together the global equestrian community, and show others just how enriching these new media can be for them. The ESMAs allow fans and followers of businesses, brands and professionals to shout about those who fly the flag for our industry.

In the inaugural ESMAs, TheHorse.com took home top honors in the "Best Use of Twitter, International" and the "Most Informative, International" categories, and third place in the "Best Use of Facebook, International" category.

There is much excitement around the ESMAs as their second year sees the cream of the online equestrian community vying for places among the finalists. From Dec. 15 to 12:00 p.m. GMT on Dec. 24, you will be able to nominate your social media favorites via the ESMA Facebook page in a number of categories. Nominations can be for riders, charities, bloggers, Facebook pages and competitions, and more (a full list is available below)
