Gelding Clinic to be Held in Kentucky March 10
The Kentucky Horse Park (KHP), located in Lexington, Ky., will play host to a free gelding clinic on March 10, according to a release on the KHP website.
The clinic–provided by the KHP–is being conducted in cooperation with the Kentucky Horse Council’s Save Our Horses fund and the American Horse Council’s Unwanted Horse Coalition, the release said
"The free gelding surgeries are open to any equine owner who is financially unable to afford the surgeries," the statement on the website read. "Castrations will be performed by a veterinarian or a veterinary student under close supervision by a licensed veterinarian. Stallions must be halter broke, in good health, have two descended testicles, and be at least four months of age."
All stallions must be accompanied by a current health certificate and proof of a negative Ccggins test
