Days End Farm Horse Rescue in Woodbine, Md., will offer Horse Care Clinics I and II on April 18 and 19.
Aimed at first-time and lifelong horse owners, the Horse Care Clinics cover such topics as horse handling and psychology, safety, hoof and dental care, health problems, care of older horses, emergency care, nutrition, and parasites. Participants will get practical advice on trailering, boarding, and other details on how to provide quality equine care.
Instruction and hands-on exercises will be led by Brooke Vrany, Days End’s director of programs and emergency services. Vrany is certified in large animal rescue, and she has more than eight years of experience in caring for healthy horses and rehabilitating critically ill ones.
Clinics I and II run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participants receive a certificate of completion
