Odenville Police Chief Adam Pardue said authorities arrested 29-year-old Rachel Hill after she allegedly shot two horses on property at Alabama Highway 174 in Odenville about noon Wednesday. Hill was charged with animal cruelty, trespassing, and criminal mischief and was jailed on $7,000 bond.
She is accused of killing the horse of her former boyfriend, Andrew Warren, with a shot to the head. A horse owned by Warren’s mother was shot and severely injured.
Authorities said they have a witness and have recovered a .38-caliber handgun they believe was used to shoot the horses
