Concentrations of certain steroids would be limited in horses on days they race in Indiana under regulations approved by the state’s Horse Racing Commission.
Commission member Doug Grimes said the rule does not make anabolic steroids illegal, but regulates their use.
“It is clear that steroids have been something in our culture that does not have favorable acceptance,” he said at Thursday’s meeting. “We have tried to give the horsemen what they need as a therapeutic instrument
