Blood-Horse Publications will publish a special limited-edition magazine commemorating the life and legacy of racehorse John Henry, who was euthanatized Oct. 8. He was 32 years old. The John Henry Commemorative Magazine pays tribute to the storied and fascinating career of the legendary John Henry. A blue-collar hero, John Henry overcame numerous obstacles throughout his career. His talent and tenacity won the hearts of thousands.

The unique collector’s edition issue celebrates the life and career of the cantankerous champion beloved by fans worldwide. The issue will contain 100 pages of John Henry-related articles from Blood-Horse Publications’ archives and will include more than 50 historic color and black and white photographs. The special issue will retail for $7.95, plus $3.95 shipping and handling (and any applicable tax), while supplies last. It will not be included with subscriptions to The Blood-Horse or The Horse. The issue will be available in early November.
